Code of Conduct Information

ATTENDEE CODE OF CONDUCT

  • Never enter, or attempt to enter, a ME Virtual Career Fair session using the name of another student or staff member.
  • ​Consider using a headset for best hearing if you are watching individually
  • Close unneeded applications on your computer to optimize the video quality. 
  • If you would like to ask a question, please utilize the chat feature available in each ME Virtual Career Fair session.
  • ​If you would like to use the chat box, remember that it is public, and a record of the chat is kept and archived.  Moderator will oversee the chat box.
  • Appropriate language should be used at all times. In the event that an attendee engages in inappropriate behavior on the ME Virtual Career Fair platform, they will be removed from the event and, if applicable, reported to their school building's administration team.
    • ​ME Virtual Career Fair Video Conferencing Disclaimer: If you participate, you will be in a remote learning experience that will utilize video conferencing as part of this lesson. The use of video conferencing requires all students and staff to adhere to the rules contained in their respective district’s Acceptable Use Policy. Foremost of these policies is the expectation that all parties will participate in this learning experience in a respectful manner while ensuring that all parties will be respectful of the rights to privacy for all participants of this video activity. All parties need to respect the academic work and personal opinions of all presenters, students, staff, and teachers involved in this session. The unauthorized recording and dissemination of these sessions, without consent, is a violation of the Acceptable Use Policy and may also be subject to disciplinary action from your respective school administration while possibly resulting in a formal report being filed with the appropriate police department. Therefore, all participants in this remote learning experience and its use of video, agree that they will not save, record, share or post this video session or any photos or audio recording from this video session. Lastly, the rules of the classroom and your respective school building apply to all ME Virtual Career Fair remote learning experiences.
  • Keep paper and a pen or pencil handy to take notes.  
  • If attending from home, let all household members know when and where you will be in session, and ask them not to disturb you.
  • Please take care of your personal needs (appropriate dress, basic hygiene, etc.) prior to entering a session.
  • Offensive or inappropriate language is not to be used in any form of communication
  • You must never take a screenshot or screen recordings of the session.
  • Disrupting a session will lead to you being removed from the session
  •  Remember to sign out or “leave the meeting” when the session is finished.
